Between our second and third games today, both 92 teams toured Stockholm by train and subway.  Check the photo albums to the left for some of the photos.  Also included is a short video of the boys on the train. 

TEAM ARRIVAL IN SWEDEN

Good morning everyone,

The team arrived safe and sound this morning in Stockholm Sweden.  Upon the drive in, it seemed like we were in Northern Ontario, (or other Northern parts of Canada) where the spring was just arriving and although the snow has melted, the trees have not yet bloomed.  I will provide you with more photos of the city and the impressions that others have of it. 

There were some tired faces walking into the hotel, but the boys seem disciplined and positive.  They are aiming to stay awake until this evening when I don't think any of them will be wanting to stay up too late. The hotel is quite new and very well located for everyone.  It is walking distance to the main rink and there is a plaza just across the way where the boys can get drinks or other snacks. 

After getting their rooms, meeting their team mates, we had a short team meeting and then the boys went off for a walk to the local rink to watch the ECS 93 team play Team Ontario.  In the photo album to the left, you will see a few shots of their game.  The boys now had a few hours to relax and walk around the local area before heading out for practices this afternoon. 

Team ECS has just left for their first practice together and Team V/Reds will be heading out at 4:30 pm to skate for their first time together.  Here is a photo of a few members of each of the teams as we were walking back from the rink.  They are a tall group of boys.
